CANTER Mid Atlantics Kid Klondike

CANTER Mid Atlantic is a Maryland-based Non Profit devoted to assisting retiring racehorses in Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia.  We are part of a network of CANTER operations throughout the country who to date have assisted in the placement of over 7000 horses.  Yes, thousands.   Think about that number for a minute.

Each person involved with CANTER does so voluntarily, and the organization could not exist without their dedication.

Kid Klondike is a 5 year old Chestnut gelding who was purchased for a whopping $90,000 by his previous owners.  After bowing a tendon in his second start, they decided to retire him to CANTER instead of trying again and risking injuring him further.
